I'm venturing outside of Pennsylvania for the Akron Authors Con in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio (just outside of Akron). The event takes place over two days, September 5-6. The convention aims to connect authors, publishers, literary agents, and artists to readers. There are also numerous panels and workshops ranging from genre discussions to helpful hints for self-publishing. I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to meet fellow authors as well as readers.

I attended the Literacy Nation Book Fair this past Saturday. It was a nice event with about 30-40 authors ranging in content from children's books to Adult. While it was a hot day that unfortunately got cut short by thunderstorms, I had a great time meeting fellow independent authors as well as talking with people about my book. I'm getting everything ready for my first book fair this coming Saturday, August 8th in Philadelphia. Looking forward to meeting readers and fellow authors at the Literacy Nation Book Fair. Should be a fun and exciting day.

I am attending the Wildflower Literary Festival at Downingtown Vintage in Downingtown on August 29th.
